1. The kind of community we are building
Deyding exists to help adult Christian singles meet with faith, honesty, dignity, and purpose at the center. People will come from different denominations, cultures, races, ethnicities, countries, body types, backgrounds, and life experiences. Every member deserves to be treated as a person made in the image of God.
These Community Guidelines apply to profiles, photos, prompts, messages, calls, reports, and other activity on Deyding.
2. Be honest about who you are
Use your real identity and accurate age. Do not impersonate another person, use stolen photos, materially misrepresent your relationship status, fabricate credentials, or create deceptive profiles. If Deyding offers verification, do not attempt to bypass or falsify it.
3. Be honest about your intentions
Deyding is built for meaningful Christian dating. Be truthful about whether you are seeking marriage, a committed relationship, friendship before dating, or another relationship intention supported by the app. Do not manipulate someone by pretending to want a relationship you do not actually want.
4. Respect faith differences
Members may disagree about doctrine, denomination, worship style, Sabbath or Sunday observance, spiritual gifts, dress, diet, church attendance, or other matters of conviction. Respectful discussion is welcome. Mocking, degrading, pressuring, or attacking someone because of their denomination or sincerely held religious belief is not.
5. No harassment, threats, or abuse
Do not threaten, stalk, bully, shame, intimidate, repeatedly contact someone who has clearly asked you to stop, or use insulting or degrading language. Do not encourage others to target a member. Threats of violence, sexual violence, self-harm coercion, blackmail, extortion, or doxxing are prohibited.
6. No hate or dehumanizing conduct
Deyding welcomes a diverse global Christian community. Content or behavior that attacks, dehumanizes, or promotes hatred or violence against people based on protected characteristics is not allowed. Preferences in dating do not justify insulting or degrading entire groups of people.
7. Sexual content and boundaries
Deyding is not an adult-content platform. Do not send unsolicited sexual messages, explicit images, nudity, sexual coercion, or sexually exploitative content. Never pressure another member for sexual activity, intimate photos, or private information. Consent must be clear, voluntary, and ongoing.
8. No exploitation or financial manipulation
Do not use Deyding to run romance scams, request money under false pretenses, recruit members into fraudulent investments, sell financial schemes, solicit gift cards, move money for others, or exploit someone's emotions for financial gain. Be extremely cautious when anyone you meet online asks for money.
9. No spam, solicitation, or unauthorized promotion
Do not use Deyding primarily to advertise businesses, recruit for unrelated organizations, collect leads, promote unrelated products, send repetitive messages, or direct large numbers of members to external services. Genuine conversation about work, ministry, or interests is different from using the community as a marketing list.
10. Protect privacy
Do not publish another member's private phone number, home address, workplace details, private messages, intimate images, financial information, or other sensitive information without permission. Do not record or distribute private calls or conversations in violation of law or another person's reasonable expectation of privacy.
11. Photos and profile content
Profile photos should accurately represent you. Do not upload images that contain nudity, graphic violence, illegal content, another person's private information, or material you do not have permission to use. Group photos should not be used in a way that intentionally confuses people about which person owns the profile.
12. Keep minors off the dating service
Deyding is for adults. Do not create an account if you are under the minimum age in our Terms. Do not use Deyding to seek romantic or sexual contact with minors, sexualize minors, or share exploitative content involving minors. Suspected child exploitation may be reported to appropriate authorities where required by law.
13. Keep communication safe
Use Deyding's in-app tools while you are getting to know someone. Be cautious about quickly sharing your home address, financial information, passwords, identification documents, or other highly sensitive information. Video calling can help build confidence, but no feature can guarantee another person's intentions.
14. Meeting in person
When you decide to meet, choose a public place, tell someone you trust where you will be, keep control of your transportation, and leave if you feel unsafe. Never pressure someone to meet, travel, drink alcohol, enter a private location, or do anything they are uncomfortable with.
15. Blocking and reporting
If someone makes you uncomfortable, you may use Deyding's block or report tools. Reports should be made in good faith. Knowingly false or retaliatory reports may themselves violate these Guidelines.
When making a report, include enough context for the safety team to understand what happened. Deyding may preserve relevant information while a report is investigated.
16. Enforcement
Depending on the severity, history, and context of a violation, Deyding may warn a member, remove content, limit features, require verification, temporarily suspend an account, permanently ban an account, or take other reasonable action. Serious safety threats may be escalated to law enforcement or other appropriate authorities when permitted or required by law.
17. Appeals
If Deyding provides an appeal process, members may ask for an enforcement decision to be reviewed. An appeal does not guarantee reinstatement. Safety-sensitive information may be withheld when disclosure could endanger another person, compromise an investigation, or violate law.
18. Global community
Deyding serves a worldwide audience. Cultural expectations and local laws differ, but these Guidelines establish a common minimum standard for respectful participation. Members are also responsible for following the laws that apply where they live and where they use Deyding.
19. Help us protect the community
A safe dating community depends on members acting with integrity. If something feels suspicious, coercive, fraudulent, or unsafe, stop engaging and use the available safety tools. You do not owe anyone continued access to you.
20. Contact
Questions about these Community Guidelines can be submitted through the contact options in the Deyding app or at www.deyding.com.
